| Antoine Blanchard |
|
| Antoine Blanchard was born in 1910 and died in 1988.Many
French artists have felt their inspiration prompted by Europes most romantic
and magnificent city, none more so than Antoine Blanchard. He was born in Blois
but early appreciation of the Impressionists led him to study at The Acedemy of
Fine Arts in Paris, from where he went on to paint the city in all its moods
through the seasons.Through his delicate impressions the landmarks and
monuments are instantly recognisable.....wistful scenes at evening, chilled
snow-filled afternoons, they all pulsate with an inexplicable warmth and
charm.Since 1988 the works of Antoine Blanchard have risen dramatically in
value, due to the huge appreciation for and collectability of his works around
the world. |
