| Hans Becker |
|
| Hans Becker was born in Berlin in 1930 into an
artistic family.He was encouraged and promoted by a close friend the Dutch
artist Anton Niewenhuizen.He was further influenced by the painter Fritz
Behn,after his studies in Munich.Following his move to Holland in 1960,he began
to visit the Italian Mediterranean as part of his rehabilitation from serious
illness,and it was here that he established his reputation, through highly
successful exhibitions in Positano,Naples, Milan and Rome.Becker is best known
for his romantic subjects,both in landscapes and interiors,and is widely
collected throughout Europe and the United States. |

| Pierre Bittar |
|
| Pierre Bittar was born in France in 1934,and began to
paint and draw from the age of five.After his formal education he continued his
artistic studies at L'Ecole des Beaux Arts in 1956.He was awarded the first
prize at the Acedemy of Leonardo Da Vinci when he was just 22,and has since won
numerous awards and prizes.Pierre is an artist who lives to paint...a man who
has experienced the success of a business career,then left it to develop his
true vocation. His bold oil paintings in palette knife are now world
renowned,and he is rightfully considered a master of the modern Impressionist
movement. |

| Antoine Blanchard |
|
| Antoine Blanchard was born in 1910 and died in
1988.Many French artists have felt their inspiration prompted by Europe's most
romantic and magnificent city,none more so than Blanchard.He was born in Blois
but early appreciation of the Impressionists led him to study at The Acedemy of
Fine Arts in Paris,from where he went on to paint the city in all its moods
through the seasons.Through his delicate impressions the landmarks and
monuments are instantly recognisable.....wistful scenes at evening,chilled
snow-filled afternoons,they all pulsate with an inexplicable warmth and
charm.Since 1988 his works have risen dramatically in value,due to the huge
appreciation for and collectability of his works around the world. |

| Raymond Campbell |
|
| Ray Campbell was born in Surrey,England in 1956,and was
convinced even as a schoolboy that he could make his living as an artist.After
travelling and studying throughout Europe in the late 1970's,and having tried
his hand in numerous different jobs,Ray returned to England to begin life as a
professional artist.He was greatly influenced by the great Dutch Masters who
inspired him to paint his still life in the Flemish tradition.He has now
developed his own individual style that is widely recognised and admired.Ray
has exhibited throughout the U.K and the U.S.A,and has been successful at the
Summer Exhibitions at the Royal Academy London. |

| Robert Chailloux |
|
| Robert Chailloux was born in Paris on the 23rd April
1913.He studied fine art at the Parisien Academy,and in his initial career
painted in watercolours,especially elegant architectural studies.He was
persuaded by his tutors to concentrate on still-life painting,and it was in
this field that he made his name.Chailloux has won many prestigious prizes and
awards,including Gold Medals at the Salon des Artistes Francais,the Salon de
L'Art Libre and the Salon Violet;the Prix du Comite at the Salon
D'Hiver.Several of Chailloux's paintings can be viewed at the Museum of Fine
Arts,Paris. |

| Pierre de Clausade |
|
| Pierre de Clausade was born in Paris on the 15th April
1910.He did not begin painting as a profession until he was in his thirties.
Although he had little confidence in his work, he had his first exhibition in
Paris in 1943,which was a phenomenal success.He exhibited regularly at the
Societe des Beaux Arts,and became a member of the Salon d'Hiver.De Clausade has
exhibited all over the world,his paintings have entered many distinguished
collections,including that of the Brazilian Ambassador and the Boston and
Minneapolis Museums of Fine Art.He was also awarded the great honour of the
Medaille d'Argent of the Paris Salon in 1953.He died in 1975,leaving a legacy
of a dramatic and individual artist whose style was truly original |

| Gabriel Deschamps |
|
| Gabrielle Deschamps is best known for his landscape
painting. His subject was often the South of France and his style is
extraordinarily fresh, conveying strong light or perhaps a particular note of
sunshine. He was born in 1919 and studied at the "Ecole Nationale Superieure
des Beaux Arts" in Paris. From 1939 he was a State Art Professor and a member
of the Paris Autumn Salon. Deschamps held one-man exhibitions in Paris,
Algiers, Oran and Casablanca, and his works are represented in important
private collections in Switzerland, Belgium, Brazil, USA and Argentina. One of
his paintings has also been acquired by the Casablanca Art Gallery. |

| John Bentham-Dinsdale |
|
| John Bentham-Dinsdale was born in Yorkshire in 1927.He
worked as a designer in both television and theatre,before deciding to become a
professional artist in 1963.Dinsdale career has evolved greatly in the years
following....He has held exhibitions all over the world,throughout
Australasia,Asia,Europe,and perhaps most extensively in the U.S.A. He is a man
who loves the sea and the ships that he paints,and is noted for his
draughtsmanship and ability to paint fine,detailed pictures of historical naval
actions and engagements. |

| David Dipnall |
|
| David Dipnall was born in Scotland of English parents
in the early war years but received his education at Portsmouth Grammar School.
He decided to pursue Engineering Design as a career and held various positions
in product design until 1968, when he and his wife Audrey decided to travel the
world. He left England in September 1968 and drove overland to India, and then
on by various means to arrive in Australia in January 1969. Australia became
their home for the next five years during which time he worked initially in
product design, but later found an opportunity to join the teaching staff at
Geelong Grammar School. Here he remained until early 1974 teaching design, art
and craft and photography. He returned to England in the summer of 1974 with
his wife and son after deciding to become a professional artist in response to
the demand for his work as an amateur. He is now firmly established as
England's leading living landscape artist. Reproductions of his works as prints
are regularly featured on best seller lists. |

| John Donaldson |
|
| John Donaldson was born in Lewes,Sussex in 1945,and
received his initial artistic training from his grandfather,who was an
accomplished painter who was part of the early British Impressionist
movement.John has been a professional artist all his adult life.He has held
exhibitions all over the world....renowned for his romantic portrayals of city
life in Paris and London,and also for his sun-filled landscapes of Southern
France....nothing is sentimentalised in his paintings,for there is both hard
work and tranquillity in his portrayals.John has featured in Royles 'Artists
Britain' calender on several occasions,and is represented at galleries in
Toronto,Los Angeles,Seattle,Florida, Melbourne and London. |

1985) |
|
| Dyf was born on October 7th 1899 in Paris. While he is
known for his paintings of figures,flowers and still-life subjects, he is most
celebrated for his beautifully atmospheric landscapes. These were always
executed in his distinctive impressionist style that imbues the subject with
such a natural feel. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais,the Salon
d'Automne and the Salon des Tuileries |

| Jules Herve |
|
| Jules Rene Herve was born in Paris in 1887 and died in
1981.His work was given recognition as early in the century as 1914 when,at the
age of twenty-seven,he was awarded the Medaille d'Argent at the Salon des
Artistes Francais,where he exhibited regularly.Numerous awards,honours and
distinctions followed throughout his life through regular exhibitions at the
various Paris Salons.Jules was an artist who enjoyed working alone,painting
subjects of his own choice,oblivious to publicity and other artistic
pressures.His palette was always distinctive with its shimmering
colours,applied in small light touches,reminiscent of the great
Impressionists.He will be remembered for his charming paintings of Parisian
life,featuring the children and characters of the Belle Epoque. |

| Ivars Jansons |
|
| Throughout the years,his many one man exhibitions have
without exception been a total success.It is his romantic subject matter and
superb palette knife technique that have earned him the reputation and
following he so richly deserves.Ivars Jansons is equally at home with either
oils or watercolours,he has the distinction of being one of three artists to
represent the Australia at the Hague in 1984.He was born in Latvia in 1939.He
emigrated to Australia with his family in 1949.His first exhibition was in
Melbourne in 1967,after which he spent a long time in England,studying under
the eminent Newlyn artist Leonard Fuller.He is represented in many municipal
and private collections.The Inchcape Collection in London have examples of his
work. |

|
| was born in Paris on the 17th February 1935,and even
before starting any formal education wanted to become an artist.He became a
pupil at the Arts Appliques in Paris, where he began to exhibit,as well as in
other major cities,winning prizes wherever he went.Since 1963 not a year has
passed without him winning one or more awards-a remarkable achievement.He now
works throughout France,in particular in Paris and Honfleur,as well as in
Venice.Examples of his work have been purchased by the City of Paris and other
provincial museums. |

| Jean Kevorkian was born in 1933.This self-taught artist
has painted landscapes and marine scenes since his youth.He is noted for views
along the banks of the Seine and Oise,in the Ile de France and throughout the
countryside of Brittany.He excels in his interpretations of the moods of nature
through the seasons,with a freshness and feeling that show his accord with
nature.He is a plein air artist who prefers the natural light of the outdoors
to that of a studio.Since 1978 he has received many awards and distinctions
from his exhibitions at the Paris Salons,and provincial venues.Jean is a
popular artist whose whole life is painting.His works can be seen

| Juan Lluna |
|
| was born into an artistic family where he was
encouraged to take painting seriously from the age of six.He first received
tuition from his father and when he was old enough he enrolled at the Valencia
School of Art.Here he was awarded many prizes for his work and high
achievement,and went on to win the Gold Medal in Seville in 1974.Further
honours and distinctions followed when he began to exhibit in Madrid and
Valencia.Today he is one of Spains leading artists,noted for his fine and
individual plein air technique.The Diputacio Provincial Museum in Barcelona
have examples of his work,as well as other substancial collections throughout
Europe and The USA. |

|
| Patricia Moran is a native of Melbourne,Australia.She
has dedicated her life to flower painting and is today Australias most sought
after and respected floral painter.Since turning professional in 1978 she has
held numerous sucessful solo exhibitions and has received many awards and
distinctions,including the prestigious Alice Bale scholarship.She is also the
only artist ever to have won the Camberwell Art Show's top award in two
consecutive years.She is also a sucessful author who has published two books on
painting...which have been accepted across the USA educational system and
especially at the School of Visual Arts in New York.Pat Moran is renowned
around the world for her magnificent floral compositions....each delicate bloom
is highlighted with a great sensitivity of brush stroke,giving her often large

|
| Emilio Payes was born in Alicante,Spain in 1936.He
showed early artistic promise and was accepted at the Alicante Acedemy, where
he studied,improving upon his natural talents with expert and sympathetic
tuition.Early success with his exhibitions brought wider acclaim and financial
stability, which allowed him to travel in search of fresh subject matter.Paris
became a favourite city,and today he spends a considerable time there,for he
has earned a reputation for his portrayals of life on the boulevards, through
the changing seasons.He also spends time painting the architectural splendour
of Venice,which has also proved highly successful. |

| Georges Robin |
|
| Georges Robin was born in 1895 and died in 1981.The
artist was a student of the master painter Paul-Michel Dupuy(whose paintings
can be viewed at The Louvre).Robin was an officer of art, science and
literature and former professor of the Paris technical high school.He was a
member of the Board of Directors and of the Jury of the Society and Salon des
Artistes Francais,and of the Salon d'Hiver and the Societe des Paysagistes
Francais.Robin won many awards throughout his career..amongst which were Gold
Medals at the Salon Officiel(Grand Palais,Paris); the Medaille Hors
Concours(the premier prize of the lanscape painters of France);the Taylor prize
and the prix de Raigecourt and Prix Goyon;The gold medal of the Salon
Printemps;the Medal Vermeil of the exhibition Conseil General de la Seine;the
Grand Prix of the Salon Printemps and of the Salon de Levallois.He was also
awarded the prize of the City of Paris.His paintings have been acquired by the
City of Paris and the City of Clichy as well as by the French Government. |

|
| Judy Talacko was born in Melbourne,Australia in
1941,but has lived and worked in England,Sweden and Czechoslovakia.She is now
ensconsed as one of Australia's foremost contemporary artists,who is known for
her expressive beach scenes and landscapes,captured with delicate and fluent
brush strokes.Each of her enchanting paintings contain a special
moment,rekindling fond memories of days gone by;kites flying on a warm sea
breeze;skirts a flutter;children playing the hours away,hoping the day will
never end.In order to create such a realistic impression,Judy gives the
characters she portrays the gift of movement,bringing them to life,using the
ever changing plays of light and shadow to enhance her subjects.Judy has been
greatly influenced by the Australian Heidleberg School (a group from the same

| Vallin was born in Novara,Italy in 1921.Vallin is the
brush name of the artist Hugo Golli who,as a young man,showed great interest
and had natural talent in all aspects of art. Initially he received tuition
from Daleza and later,after his family had settled in Paris he resumed his
studies of sculpture and painting under Richard,eventually returning to
complete his tuition at The Florence Acedemy of Fine Arts.He is now a
world-renowned painter of highly atmospheric views of the waterways of
